Even if you are not a fan of HBO’s Game of Thrones, you’ve probably seen your Facebook or Twitter feed light up with shock over last night’s memorable episode.
The “Red Wedding” sent shock waves through the GoT viewing community, momentarily paralyzing the series’ loyal legion of fans. Readers of the George R.R. Martin A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones series may have been expecting this scene, but for the vast majority of viewers who’ve not yet waded through the epic series’s 5 books, it was a television moment that caused a collective freak out. As Martin told Entertainment Weekly, even he was upset by the scene.
This video from The Daily Beast captures the collective “WTF???” moment. Do we dare watch the Season 3 finale next week? For Game of Thrones fans too hooked to turn back at this point, that’s a rhetorical question. Besides, maybe it will be Joffrey’s turn next week…
